If you enjoy my project & want to to something good, feel free to donate a small amount of money. It will go to 100% into my website and all of the content you can find here.
Download version 1.3.5
What OS is supported?
The Water Drop (Pro) host software only runs on Microsoft Windows OS (any CPU, .NET Framework 4.5)
What do I need to run the software?
The only thing you need is the .NET Framework 4.5. It should be pre-installed if you're using Windows 8 or higher.
Where can I get the software for the controller?
It is included in the ZIP-file you can download on this site. Both, the host software and the controller software, always must have the same version in order to operate correctly together. If you download the ZIP-File from this site, they will have the same version.
What DSLRs can be used?
First, every camera can be used with the hardware via an audio jack! But: The host supports Canon DSLRs in order to change their settings, like the shutter speed or the aperture. This is neat, but not a must-have.
My camera does not have an audio jack!
I know that not every camera comes with an audio jack to trigger it, but I had to choose one type of output on my controller. That's the bad thing. The good thing is, that there are adapters on the market, they allow you to use such an audio cable with your DSLR.
Where do I get updates from?
You can either download the ZIP-file from this site if there is a new version, or from GitHub. If you allow the host software to connect to the internet, it will notify you when a new version is available.
Is there a bug I should know about?
Unfortunately, yes. It's when you turn off your DSLR while it is connected with the host software via USB. To avoid that, just hit the 'Disconnect' button before you turn off the camera. I'll try to fix that.
Can I save my settings?
Of course you can!
Something's missing or doesn't work properly.
Please contact me if something doesn't work as planned, I can help you by fixing it, and you can help me by improving my software.
